broccoli and cauliflower
I’ve never eaten such delicious broccoli and cauliflower! A delicious pie recipe!
๐ Ingredients:
๐ฅฆ 1 head of broccoli
๐ฅฌ 1 head of cauliflower
๐ 2 tomatoes
๐ง 150g of yellow cheese (e.g., Gouda, Edam โ available at Biedronka and Lidl)
๐ฅ 2 eggs
๐ฅ 200ml of fresh cream (30%)
๐ง Salt and pepper to taste I like
๐ถ๏ธ A pinch of nutmeg
๐ง 2 cloves of garlic
๐ฟ Fresh parsley
๐ฉโ๐ณ Preparation:
1๏ธโฃ Cooking the vegetables:
Separate the broccoli ๐ฅฆ and cauliflower ๐ฅฌ into florets and cook in salted water for 5 minutes.
Drain and place in a baking dish. 2๏ธโฃ Preparing the sauce:
In a bowl, beat the eggs ๐ฅ, fresh cream ๐ฅ, salt ๐ง, pepper, and nutmeg ๐ถ๏ธ.
Add the chopped garlic ๐ง and half of the grated cheese ๐ง.
3๏ธโฃ Assembling the casserole:
Arrange the tomato slices ๐ over the vegetables.
Pour the prepared sauce over everything.
Sprinkle with the remaining cheese ๐ง.
4๏ธโฃ Baking:
Bake at 180ยฐC (350ยฐF) for 25 minutes, until the cheese melts and browns.
5๏ธโฃ Garnishing:
Sprinkle with chopped parsley ๐ฟ and you’re done!
